 PERSONAL PROFILE :

Dr. Manish Kumar Singh has received his UG degree (B. Tech) in Electronics Engineering from GBTU (formerly UPTU), Lucknow, India, and PG degree (M. Tech) from NIT, Durgapur, India, in the year 2011 and 2014, respectively. During his M. Tech at NIT Durgapur, he got an opportunity to carry on his M.Tech dissertation in Dept. of Physics, Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi as an M. Tech Project Trainee.

He has qualified Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) and was enrolled as a full-time Research Scholar (2014) in Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, India. The title of his Ph.D. thesis is “Engineered Polymers & Nanocomposites for its Electronic Applications”. He has presented several papers in University/ National/International level of conferences, attended STCs and published papers (6+) in journals of repute (SCI). He has been awarded the Doctoral degree (Ph. D.) in Organic Electronics in 2019. His current research focuses on fabrication of electronic devices like Schottky diodes, Photodetectors and Organic Field Effect Transistors (OFETs), by tailoring the properties of active layer (engineered materials mainly conducting polymers and nanocomposites) and subsequently, study of its charge transport properties. Comprehensively, his research work mainly confines the Synthesis of 2D Materials & Metal Oxide Nanostructures, Polymer Engineering/Nanocomposites, and fabrication of Organic/bio-electronic devices.

In September 2018, he was appointed as Assistant Professor in Electronics Department (ETD), HBTU Kanpur. He has one sponsored project entitled “Development of GO dots embedded organic polymer thin film based electronic devices” supported by Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Govt. of India. He assisted ETD department for NBA accreditation as an active member which is further awarded with NBA accreditation on 22/05/2019 for the duration of 3 years.
